This video shows David Bowie performing “Heroes” on the Dutch TV show TopPop, aired on 12 November 1977.
TopPop was the first regular dedicated pop music TV show in the The Netherlands. Dutch broadcaster AVRO aired the programme weekly, from September 22, 1970 to June 27, 1988. The show was created and originally directed by Rien van Wijk, and Ad Visser hosted the show for its first fifteen years. Although TopPop was inspired by British music programme Top of the Pops, it had its own character.
