David Bowie’s Meltdown 2002 ran from 14 to 30 June 2002, with a schedule of concerts and events including performances by The Legendary Stardust Cowboy, Coldplay, The Waterboys and a London Sinfonietta performance of Philip Glass’s Low and Heroes symphonies.
The closing night was billed as The New Heathens Night with Bowie headlining the event, supported by The Dandy Warhols followed by a DJ set from Jonathan Ross. During the show Bowie performed the albums Low and Heathen in their entireties.
In this video we see the performance of 1977’s Low, albeit with a different running order to the original album, the instrumentals segued between the vocal tracks.
