‘Footstompin’ was originally cut by The Flares in 1961, and , and paired this with ‘I Wish I Could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate’ on the Diamond Dogs tour. The riff developed by Carlos Alomar would later morph into ‘Fame‘, for which Alomar received a writing credit alongside Bowie and John Lennon.

The backing singer strutting her stuff is Ava Cherry.
